Our Story
Just as the legend of the dragon, depicted on Ljubljana’s coat of arms and flag, watches over the city, our hotel harbors its own tales. In the 18th century, this very spot was home to the renowned inn 'Pri Šimnu,' which, in the latter half of the 19th century, became a haven for Czech musicians who left an indelible mark. During this era, there was a noticeable influx of Czech musicians. Their presence was crucial to the flourishing of several leading musical institutions in Slovenia, as they had access to the highest quality music education in their homeland, something still out of reach for Slovenians. Many of these musicians were also devoted to music education, leaving a lasting imprint on the Slovenian musical landscape.
Hence the name. »Allegro«.
